100% Silk Popcorn Shirts

Ever wondered how those “popcorn” shirts are made? Based on an ancient Japanese technique (Shibori) in which the fabric is gathered and tied by hand before dying and then heat-treated to permanently create a deep puckering, the Chinese adapted this method to already prepared material. The result is a fabric that when stretched, will blossom to give many times its width but will, in its relaxed state, be very tiny and absolutely carefree.

Our popcorn shirts are 100% silk. We have chosen this fabric for its breathe-ability and easy care making them ideal for the chill of winter or the heat of summer.
